Andrea Barreto
Vocals
Andrea has music in her soul, and talent flowing thru her veins. Not many entertainers are able to match the drive, and passion she emits with every note from her vocal cords. A quote from her nationally known vocal coach Russ Faith (whose accomplishments include teaching such stars as Broadway’s “Annie” Andrea McCardle, and the current Frankie Valli role in “Jersey Boys” Jarrod Specter) was simple; “she’s got it.” He is so right!
From a young age, being trained by the music industry elite, the pattern continued as Andrea matured and expanded her musical ability. Andrea wowed crowds made up of peers and teachers all throughout grade school. Andrea was voted “most musical” in a student body exceeding 1,000, and went on to compete in a PA state jazz competition of pros, winning the title of first runner up in her junior year of high school! Andrea’s talents were recognized and rewarded with a scholarship her senior year of high school to attend summer classes at Boston’s world-renowned Berkley College of Music after graduation. Andrea then attended Temple University’s Esther Boyer College of Music on full scholarship where she was, and still is mentored/coached by the infamous Jazz trumpet player Terrell Stafford.
